Thing 1.0

Thing 1.0 is the first release of our full system — the hardware, the companion app, and the AI that ties them together. This isn't a prototype or an early-access beta. It's a complete, production-grade platform built from the ground up to replace the phone in your pocket with a voice in your ear.

The system has three layers. First, the device — a 4.5-gram clip behind your ear with an 18-hour battery, dual microphones, a bone-conduction speaker, and onboard sensors for heart rate, temperature, and motion. Second, the companion iOS app — your control center for preferences, health data, conversation history, automations, and account management. Third, the AI backend — a real-time voice engine powered by Gemini Live, running on dedicated cloud infrastructure with sub-200ms response times.

The app is built in SwiftUI and connects natively to Apple HealthKit, EventKit, Contacts, Reminders, HomeKit, and Shazam. It syncs with Google Calendar, Gmail, and Spotify through secure OAuth. Every integration works by voice — you never need to open the app to use them. The app exists for setup, deep configuration, and reviewing your data when you want to see it on a screen.

The AI isn't a wrapper around a chatbot. It's a multi-tool agent with over 30 function-calling integrations. When you say "book a restaurant," it launches a real headless browser, navigates the booking site, fills forms, and confirms — all server-side. When you say "call Mom," it places a real cellular call through Twilio. When you say "log my lunch," it writes directly to HealthKit. Version 1.0 ships with phone calls, web browsing, health monitoring, smart home control, real-time translation in 40+ languages, music recognition, document scanning, email management, navigation, timers, reminders, weather, and memory.

The system is pay-as-you-go — $5/month base, plus usage. No tiers, no locked features. Every user gets every tool. The device ships free. Updates arrive automatically. And version 1.0 is just the beginning.
