Thing 1.0 is the first release of the iOS app + AI backend that make up the live product today. The wearable companion is in active hardware bringup and is not part of what ships today — it's coming, and waitlist members get it first when it does.
The shipped system has two layers right now. First, the iOS companion app — built in SwiftUI, your voice + screen interface for the AI, plus a control center for preferences, health data, conversation history, automations, and account management. Second, the AI backend — a real-time voice engine powered by Google's Gemini Live API, running on Railway, with a Python browser agent for web tasks.
The app connects natively to Apple HealthKit, EventKit, Contacts, Reminders, HomeKit, and Shazam. It syncs with Google Calendar, Gmail, and Spotify through OAuth. Most things you can do on the app you can do by voice; the screens are there for setup, deep configuration, and reviewing your data.
The AI is a multi-tool agent with 55+ function-calling integrations. When you say "book a restaurant," it launches a real headless browser, navigates the site, fills forms, and confirms — all server-side via the browser-use Python service. When you say "call Mom," it places a real cellular call through Twilio. When you say "log my lunch," it writes directly to HealthKit. Today's release covers AI phone calls, web browsing and bookings, HealthKit read/write, smart home (Matter + HomeKit), music control and recognition, document and QR scanning via the iPhone camera, email and calendar management, navigation, timers, reminders, weather, and persistent memory.
Pricing is pay-as-you-go — $5/month base, plus metered usage. No tiers, no locked features. Every subscriber gets every tool. The wearable, when it ships, will go to subscribers and waitlist members first.
